Event Description
Embark on a journey to discover birds around Surrey! This experience will be a perfect blend of nature, learning and conservation. The tour begins with a hands-on introduction to binoculars so you’ll be ready to spot your first bird. We’ll also teach you how to find birds in the wild using your eyes and ears. You’ll be introduced to various bird species and their unique adaptations, making identification easier and more exciting. Ever wondered what people mean by “nemesis bird” and why the chickadee sings “cheeseburger”? You’ll be fluent in the language of birding by the end of the day. We also believe in not only observing the birds but also protecting them. During the tour, you’ll learn how to help conserve bird habitats and how to create a bird-friendly spaces.
