About the event

Get to know your feathered neighbours! The summer season brings hundreds of bird species migrating from Central and South America to breed around Surrey Parks. Bright Yellow-rumped Warblers forage along the marsh while acrobatic Purple Martins start settling in their nests. This is an introduction to birding event and is free to all participants. All birding skills levels are also welcome. Binoculars will be available to borrow. More information and register here: https://forms.gle/BHLbd2pABoZpAMgf6

Accessibility:

Blackie Spit Park is transit accessible and has plenty of free parking space. The trails are mostly flat with some gravel and boardwalks. There are washrooms available by the Crescent Beach Public Parking.
